DanceMasters School Of Dance is the brainchild of Shelley Naughton-Shires, she started teaching dance in her local youth group at the tender age of 13 when one of the leaders regognised she had a particular talent, she continued to teach and help with the choreography until she left to go and work as an entertainer with Butlins Holidays in the UK.
When she returned to Ireland she became the Entertainments Manager at Mosney Holiday Centre, when the centre closed during the winter months Shelley began teaching her own classes in and around her home town of Sixmilebridge, and when Mosney closed for the last time in the year 2000 she decided the time was right to turn her part time job into a business, very quickly the amount of classes grew and by 2001 she was a full-time as a dance teacher.
Very soon groups such as Faroige, Limerick Youth Service, Clare Youth Service and many more were contacting her to teach in their youth groups and summer camps. Soon there was just too much for one teacher to do so she had to look at employing a member of staff. To start with the staff member was only part-time but then even more work started to arrive in the guise of classes as part of the P. E. curriculum in schools and colleges, this meant the part-time staff member became full time. What started out a part-time business for Shelley is now a thriving business that employees both full and part time staff of teachers, co ordinators, and administrators.
DanceMasters is continuing to grow, going from strength to strength and is now offering the opportunity to become part of the DanceMasters dynasty as DanceMasters is now offering franchise opportunities.
